Final list

We have past our date for applications to be in and now have a list of 20 people.

Mission Team

Hello all!!
It looks like our team number is at 19 people. We are working on ways to raise funds for this trip and have started a cook book which I am excited to see completed. This will be more than just a collection of recipes, we want to have testimonies as why they have been saved. Family traditions, make your tongue slap your brains out eating experiences and just I love this recipe, that's what we want to share.
We also are getting ready for an auction just in time for Christmas buying! If you have a gift you would like to donate please feel free to leave us a contact method and we will be in touch.

1st Person singular.

Sunday, I received the first application (with a deposit check) for our trip to Narok. We only have about 1 month left to get the applications in with a deposit. Thank you Sarah for being the first and also being prompt. It does make it easier on the leaders when you don't wait for the last second. Our next meeting is, I believe, May 16th. I hope to have at least half of my team signed up by then. June is the deadline for getting the applications in so it is closing in fast.

Jina langu (My name is) John. Nenda (I am going to)Narok Kenya. Sisemi kiswahili (I don't speak Swahili). Tutafiki lini (When will we arrive)? August 2011!
I am interested in learning a little of the language and sharing it with my fellow travelers. As I figure out how to do more sharing here I will invite others to help and share what they learn. I am just learning and invite constructive criticism and helpful guidance.

In The Beginning

In August of 2011, Highline Christian Church will be traveling to Narok, Kenya. As of this writting our team consists of the two team leaders. We are trying to limit our team to under twenty but will see what God wants it to be. You must be 18years old or older to participate. Members of Highline Christian Church will be given first preference. As the title suggest, this is only the begining. Much more to follow as information comes in.
