From Saturday August 20th

Since arriving in Kenya I have seen some amazing things. The children who attended the camp left today for their villages. We had a wonderful few days with them. These children love the Lord and really love to praise Him through singing and dancing. I know each and every member of our team has been touched in some way by these beautiful children. We are now preparing to go out in the field tomorrow for our time in the bush (a village) for two nights and three days. Please continue to pray for us. To my husband Mike – I received your message from Jordan and Adam on 8/17. It made my day as I was and am missing you (especially the day I got the message). Thanks for the photo in the first card! I needed it. Happy Anniversary (couple days early), I am with you in your heart. I love you and miss you. Danielle – my little diva – I love and miss you! Be good for Mike! (I love you more) To my family and friends who are praying for me and Brianna – Thank you! Please continue to pray, it is so appreciated! – Jackie

This has been an amazing experience. I have met children between the ages of 6 and 18 who know more about God, Jesus Christ and salvation than most adult Christians today. I saw children quote the conversation between David and Goliath verbatim and then apply it to daily living. The children always have a song in their heart. I had many children tell me God was everything to them. When you look at the face of these children, you see Jesus. I am thankful God brought me to Narok, Kenya. – Kathy

Never in my wildest dreams did I think my experience in Kenya would be so profound. The love and grace of the Kenyan people is almost overwhelming. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the children and witnessing the love they have for Christ and how they look after each other with such tenderness. Their feet cannot stay still when they hear music. I am touched by how they accept you into their lives and I know my life will never be the same. – Lyla

I would like to thank all of my supporters. This trip has truly been a heard and eye opening experience. We have certainly had a marvelous week with all the children. Liz – I miss you and I hope you and the kids are doing well. This is an awesome experience I really want to share with all of you. Furthermore – Help I need more Pop Tarts! - Wes

Jambo family and friends from Dick and Jody! The week with the kids flew by with both laughs and tears. The kids were shy at first – just like us – but by the end of the week relationships had formed! The Kenyan worship included dancing and the music moves you to your feet! One night the praise and worship with dancing lasted 30 minutes, talk about an aerobics workout! So lively and fun to experience this! Thank you for your prayers. We head to the Maasai villages tomorrow for Sunday services and a few nights in the bush. - Love, Jody and Dick
