Greetings from Narok, Kenya!

Habari gani, Highline rafiki? (Hello, how are you my Highline friends?)

Greetings from Narok, Kenya! It has been such a wonderful time here at AfricaHope for the short time we have been here. We arrived safely although many lacked sleep and were weary from travel. We are extremely excited to be here and thank you again for all the help you, as a congregation, contributed to making this trip possible!

After much anticipation the children arrived Tuesday, August 16th. Jackson, the camp director, reminded us of our church family at home. His enthusiasm and love for the children resembles that of Bret. His joy and love for God captivated the children, and immediately camp was in full swing! We began the day by registering the children and dividing them into age groups. When all was said and done, there were 99 children total attending this camp. The children attending are from the 10 different villages AfricaHope is working with.

On our first evening with the children, we had the privilege of experiencing worship in the way of the Masai. Dancing and singing all led by children of different ages. Each school represented at camp had an opportunity to come up and demonstrate their dance for us. The spirit of God was present and each of us went away feeling that much more blessed to be here.

Mungu Akubari (God Bless You)

With Love,

Your AfricaHope team

To be continued…
